Antonia De Vegas failed to give her running last time in a Group One on the Rowley Mile course at Newmarket, but had previously scored on the July course at HQ and at Group Three level at Goodwood. She can go well.

Star Terms was beaten only a neck when third in the Group One Marcel Boussac at Longchamp in October, but hasn’t been at that level since. However, these are calmer waters and she is a danger to all.

Also at Newbury, LEADER WRITER (treble, 3.35) did well on his first run for veteran handler David Elsworth when third at Beverley on good to soft last time. He is likely to come for the run – his first for more than 100 days – and can land the one-mile handicap over the straight course under Ryan Moore.

Sod’s Law ran well when fourth behind Kodiac Harbour at Leicester and could repay each-way support. Richard Hannon’s Regimented is another who could run well.
