The five-year-old put in some solid performances in defeat last term before putting his head in front at Chelmsford in April this year. On that occasion he beat a smart performer in Hey Jonesy who has since run well in defeat when fifth behind Invincible Army at York.

He will have to be at the top of his game with Tin Man, the dual winner of this contest, chasing a hat-trick. He comes to race without an outing which will not be a problem as his two victories came when making his seasonal debut.

Hollie Doyle, in the saddle for his latest victories, again takes the reins which will also add to his chances.

SAPA INCA (8.45) can take advantage of his lenient handicap mark in the Henry Alken Handicap.

He runs off the same mark he carried when a short-head second to Tiar Na Nog at Windsor earlier in the month.
