Sir Michael Stoute, whose stable continues in great form, saddles the four-year-old, who is bidding to follow up a good win a Newcastle last time.

He had a length and a half to spare over Delph Crescent at the north-east track and should make light of a 4lb penalty for that success.

Also at Windsor, CAPOFARO (nb, 5.25) can take the finale for Jamie Osborne. Capofaro has been in tremendous form with five wins and a second from his last six runs. Nicola Currie has partnered the gelding in four of those victories and takes the ride again today.

Capofaro has gone up the handicap by no less than 20lb since the first of those wins, but is still improving and his winning run may continue. Startego and My Lady Claire are short-listed as the biggest threats.

At Redcar, NICHOLAS T (treble, 4.10) can score for trainer Jim Goldie. The seven-year-old was a close second in this last year off 2lb higher and was a highly-creditable third of 16 in the Thirsk Hunt Cup earlier this month.
