HAVANA ROCKET (treble, 7.00) came back from a layoff and wind surgery to break his maiden at Newcastle in January.

He was odds-on that day, but accomplished his task in great style under PJ McDonald, and this improving type with only four races on his card, can go on to better things.

His in-form trainer Andrew Balding moved him down to 7f at Newcastle and he made all the running. He is back up to a mile and half a furlong tonight and similar tactics could well be employed by Oisin Murphy.

Assimilation is another stepping up in distance, having raced only at 7f on his four starts. If he gets the trip he could prove a big danger.
