The Clive Cox-trained colt finished an excellent third behind King Of Change at Nottingham in April on his return to action this season.

The strength of that race was evident when King Of Change finished runner-up to Magna Grecia in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket last month.

Pondus, the fourth home in that Nottingham contest, has since won his next two races in the manner of a smart horse.

At Windsor ETON COLLEGE (6.15, nap) can continue Mark Johnston's excellent run of success in the Murphy Group Stakes.

The son of Invincible Spirit made an encouraging debut on this course, earlier in the month, when seventh behind Golden Horde. He takes a drop in distance which should be ideal and his valuable experience will be a huge asset over his less experienced rivals.

FAR ABOVE (6.45, nb) will appreciate today's drop in grade from Listed company in the Carey Group Novice Stakes.

He was not disgraced when fourth behind Jash in a smart contest at Newmarket last month. Also, his victory over Franz Kafka reads well.

His trainer, James Tate, clearly rates him as has entry in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot in two weeks time.
