Cheltenham punters have one major problem if they are betting on Cheltenham Festival | Racing | Sport

Updated: 26/01/2023

Cheltenham 2019 starts on May 12 and ends on March 15 with the prestigious Gold Cup. Races start at 1.30pm every day and the last race will be held at 5.30pm. Thousands of fans will flock to Cheltenham for four days of betting and booze, eager to double their money by locking down the best odds.

But for those of you betting from the comfort of your own home, or office chair, you may find yourself in a bit of bother.

Coverage of Cheltenham Festival will be live on TV every day on ITV1.

But the broadcaster will only be showing the main races each day – not every race live as they happen.

The only place you can watch all the day’s events as they happen is Racing TV.

ITV is yet to confirm the full schedule for the week but Express Sport will bring you all the details when released.

You can also watch the Cheltenham races on the ITV Hub.

The Champion Hurdle, the feature race of Day One at Cheltenham, will take place today at 3.30pm.

ITV1 coverage of Day One will begin at 1pm until 4.30pm.

The powerful duo of Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh are no strangers to taking millions out of the bookies’ satchels and Ladbrokes fear the same tomorrow.

The bookmaker make it 10/1 that Mullins has four or more winners on the opening day of the festival, with Klassical Dream in the Supreme and Benie Des Dieux in the Mares Hurdle expected to cause the most damage.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins are the ultimate dream team, and when the two team up, punters back them all the way. The pairing have the ability to make or break our week and this year will be no different.”
