Timeform on Love
Party Playboy – 17:55 Killarney
PARTY PLAYBOY was last seen on the flat but posted a good effort to finish fifth at Goodwood in a competitive handicap over two and a half miles. He stays well and the form of his last start in this code reads well in the context of this contest. He readily beat a subsequent winner and 18 others for this rider and despite his mark going up 9 lb for that success, he looked well worth his performance and can improve again now back up in trip. He's shown he still is in good form and can travel handy before going clear to bring up another win in his
Love – 18:40 Curragh
Aidan O'Brien heads into the Group 2 Debutante stakes with a strong hand and with it notable Ryan Moore flies over for the ride on LOVE after his engagements at York, she looks to have a strong chance of bringing up the hat-trick. She's been a steady improver, showing more potential with each performance. She shed her maiden tag on the third attempt before stepping up in grade and readily scoring by three and a quarter lengths in Group company last time out. That performance suggested she was well worth her place up in grade and looks capable of running a big race and joining Aidan's illustrious roll of honour in this race, including the lights of star fillies' Magical and Rhododendron.
Cuban Surfer – 19:40 Curragh
Jim Bolger saddles CUBAN SURFER, who has been running with credit in her last four starts, and despite her mark steadily climbing from that to a career-high, she looks like she can run well again and bring up another success. Her win at Naas in an apprentice handicap was strong and she backed that up with another good performance at Leopardstown last time when shaping as if a step up in trip would suit. She tries a mile and a half for the first time today and with her pedigree suggesting she should stay as well, she can improve again and prove that a mark of 78 isn't the ceiling of her ability.
