Crystal Palace vs Everton EPL Preview 26/09/2020 – Toffees tipped for points
2020-21 English Premier League preview and predictions: Crystal Palace vs Everton – Selhurst Park – Saturday, September 26, 2020 – 15:00 hrs GMT
With both teams not even making it to the Top ten in the 2019-20 season, both Crystal Palace and Everton have a point to prove in the current edition.
Roy Hodgson's Eagles have begun the season on an optimistic note, beating Southampton 1-0 and then following it up with a stunning 1-3 win over Manchester United away at Old Trafford.
Although the win over the Saints was a bit patchy, there was nothing to complain about the one against United with Andros Townsend striking early and Wilfried Zaha giving the finishing touches to an emphatic win with a brilliant double strike.
The Palace attack has been further strengthened by the signing of 22-year old Eberechi Eze from Queens Park Rangers and more significantly by the second loan deal for ex-Chelsea and Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi.
Carlo Ancelotti's Everton have taken on a new look and a spring in their step ever since the signing of 2014 Golden Boot winner James Rodriguez of Colombia, central midfielders Allan from Napoli and Abdoulaye Doucoure on loan from La Liga club Granada.
The effect of these arrivals have already been felt with the Toffees winning both their initial games – the first against a fancied Tottenham in their own backyard and the second one a crushing 5-2 over West Bromwich at Goodison Park with James Rodriguez getting his first goal for his new club.

This does not take away anything from the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison who have always been threats to rival defenses. Expect a belligerent Everton outfit to be all over the Eagles at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
With key striker Chritian Benteke out with a knee injury and Jordan Ayew out of touch, Palace will be banking heavily on the counter attacking and finishing skills of the brilliant Zaha to deliver them the goods.
Expected Crystal Palace line-up: Guaita (goal), Ward, Sakho, Mitchell, Kouyate, Townsend, Schlupp, McArthur, McCarthy, Ayew, Zaha.
Predicted Everton Everton line-up: Pickford, Keane, Digne, Mina, Coleman, Allan, Doucoure, Rodriguez, Gomes, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.
The Toffees have a superb record away at Selhurst Park not having lost in any of their six previous visits to the venue and in fact winning in three of those. Barring unforeseen circumstances, Everton should take three points from the September 26th's clash on Saturday.
