Reigning champions Bayern Munich get ready to take on previous season's final rivals Paris St. Germain in a first leg quarter-final clash of the 2020-21 Champions League on Wednesday, April 7th.
The Bavarians were handed a favourable draw in the Round of 16 against Lazio whom they brushed aside 6-2 on aggregate. They also are in fine fettle on the domestic front, emerging victorious in all their previous five Bundesliga appearances and remaining steadfast at the top of the table. Their last fixture was a hard-fought 0-1 win over 2nd placed RB Leipzig.
Despite possessing the firepower of the 22-year-old Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, PSG haven't been able get the better of sides like Nantes and Lille from their last three Ligue 1 outings and in fact losing to them.

The big setback for Bayern Munich will be the absence of their star striker Robert Lewandowski, out with a knee injury for probably a month.
Former PSG forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting could be in line to move into the prolific Lewandowski's place with names like Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller and Kingsley Coman giving him company upfront.
Defenders Jerome Boateng and Alphonso Davies who sat out in the weekend game against Leipzig owing to suspension, will be available for Wednesday's encounter and could displace Lucas Hernandez and Niklas Sule at the back. Corentin Tolisso and Douglas Costa are the other two players apart from Lewandowski who will miss out on the first leg clash due to injuries.
PSG are likely to recall Ander Herrera for a starting role in the midfield in place of Leandro Paredes who will miss the first leg through suspension.
Danilo Pereira is another midfield absentee out with a calf injury. Marco Verratti and Alessandro Florenzi have been taken ill and hence ruled out. Abdou Diallo is set to continue at the back opposite Layvin Kurzawa while striker while Mauro Icardi is nearing a return. It will be a toss between Icardi and the in-form Moise Kean for the striker's role alongside Mbappe and Neymar.
