Coca-Cola League One 2006/07:
Swansea Worth Backing For Promotion Push

Swansea were unfortunate to miss out on promotion from League One last season, losing on penalties in the play-off final against Barnsley, despite being the better team for most of the game. There is a quality squad at the club, with manager Kenny Jackett recently strengthening the squad further with the loan signings of Accrington Stanley midfielder Ian Craney, Manchester City youngster Scott Evans (both with a view to permanent moves) and Birmingham City defender Marcos Painter.
There is already quality in the squad in the likes of Lee Trundle, Leon Britton, Darren Way and Dennis Lawrence, so they should be more than capable of securing their current top six standing, which would enable them to have another shot at the play-offs.
They currently lie 10-points behind table-topping Nottingham Forest and just four points adrift of second-placed Scunthorpe United, so automatic promotion is far from out of the question.
The 7-2 available with Coral for Swansea to win promotion (either via a top two finish or through the play-offs) looks quite attractive.
