Colchester's 3:0 defeat away to leeds United on Saturday served us well and they again look worth backing against for this weekend's trip to Sunderland.
Roy Keane's squad is still in need of a major overhaul and after an initial good start under the Irishman, Sunderland's form has been patchy, leaving them only just above the drop-zone.
Colchester are poor travellers though, having won just one of their nine away league games to date and scoring just seven goals in the process.
They could also be unsettled in the ranks, with young Greg Halford having re-iterated his desire to move on in the January transfer window.
Sunderland are by no means a team to rely on, but the 7-8 available on The Mackems at -0.5 with bet365 on the Asian Handicap looks a reasonable value punt, paying out on any Sunderland victory.
