Shrewsbury v Milton Keynes Dons Coca-Cola League Two Football betting Preview - 14.05.07 Kick Off 19:45Forwards and Allen Can Fire Dons Past Shrewsbury
Three of the four teams who were relegated from League One at the end of last season have already secured automatic promotion after just a season in League Two, with the one team to miss out being MK Dons.
However, The Dons did finish fourth in the regular league season and they look to have enough about them to secure their place in the League Two play-off final at the expense of Shrewsbury Town.
Shrewsbury will be at home in the 1st leg of the semi-finalon Monday night in what will be the last ever game played at their Gay Meadow ground, so it is sure to be an emotional occasion. That aside though, there are plenty of reasons for backing MK Dons to progress over the two legs.
The first is that Shrewsbury have had a very hectic last couple of months in terms of games played and fatigue could be a factor. Secondly, MK Dons possess excellent attacking options at this level of the game, with Izale McLeod, Leon Knight and Clive Platt all being players capable of performing at a higher level. Finally, manager Martin Allen has recent experience of the play-offs, having taken a limited Brentford side to the League One play-offs in each of the last two seasons. He will surely have learnt from that experience.
All things considered, the 8-13 available with Bet365 for MK Dons to progress to the final at the expense of Shrewsbury looks a good bet.
