Scottish Division Two - Stirling Albion

Stirling Effort Worth Backing

Bet Advised: Tuesday 12th December 2006

Even with the season yet to reach the half-way stage, Scottish Division Two already looks to be a two-horse race between Morton and Stirling Albion.

As things stand, there is just a single point between the top two, with an eight-point gap between them and the chasing pack.

Morton, as full-time professional outfit, should really be expected to win the title with relative ease, but they have developed a reputation for collapses and there are already signs that this season might prove no different.

Stirling, by contrast, have lost just one league game all season and have reeled Morton in over recent weeks.

Talk of a takeover bid for the club has also materialised recently, which could prove a significant boost were anything to come of it.

Morton are odds-on favourites with all bookies as things stand, but that seems to be doing a disservice to Stirling who can be backed at a tempting 7-2 to win the title with William Hill.
