Having started the season with a deficit of 10-points for entering administration last term, Rotherham United did fantastically well in clambering their way out of trouble so early in the campaign.
Now though the signs are that they are beginning to struggle to maintain that momentum and may have peaked too soon, with just one win in their last 11 matches in all competitions.
Their task is not made any easier by the likely departures of their two best players - Will Hoskins and Lee Williamson - in the January transfer window, with watford seemingly set to clinch a £1.2 million deal for the pair on Friday.
Sure, manager Alan Knill is likely to be given some of the proceeds to sign replacements, but a club that was so recently deep in financial trouble is unlikely to go on any substantial spending spree.
