Ronaldo caught in Sex Scandal
Brazilian footballer Ronaldo has been involved in a sex scandal with three cross-dressing prostitutes whom he accuses of trying to blackmail money from him.
The football star dropped his girlfriend off at her house in Rio de Janeiro on Monday night and then went to pick up three, what he thought were woman, prostitutes apparently he claimed that he just wanted to "amuse himself". Trouble erupted when he realised the three ladies were in fact men.
According to local police, he alleged the transvestites then tried to blackmail him when he refused to pay for their attendance for a tidy sum of money.
Local press reported that one of the prostitutes accused Ronaldo of threatening to hit him, on discovering that he was a transvestite.
Ronaldo however said that the same prostitute had taken his car documents and demanded a sum of $30,000, about £15,000, for their return.
Under Brazilian law prostitution is legal. Ronaldo is quoted as telling the Police that he was suffering from psychological problems brought on by his recent knee injury.
