Fulham have not won at Stamford Bridge for a long time, in fact not since the Premiership was formed in 1992. They have managed a couple of draws there though. I predict a draw this time as even though Chelsea are on a good run at present (as are Fulham), they are virtually out of the title race, so their concentration has switched to Europe, as was proved by their midweek draw in Barcelona on Wednesday. I must give Credit to Fulham for their much improved season after just escaping the drop last season. Roy Hodgson deserves a lot of credit for making Fulham very hard to beat, especially at home.

2. Middlesbrough - Manchester United:

Middlesbrough are staring relegation in the face but there is hope & that hope is Hull City. Hull are in such freefall that I reckon that Middlesbrough or Newcastle can catch them & I reckon that team will be Middlesbrough. Middlesbrough had one of their best results of the season when they beat Liverpool at home two nil in February and I think that they will repeat that performance against Manchester united on Saturday and win. History also suggests that Middlesbrough are due a win against Manchester as I don’t think they have won against them since the days of Bryan Robson when they won 3-2 at Old Trafford (“theatre of dreams” is a marketing term for sad people) in 1998. I remember a couple of games in recent times when Ronaldo cheated with his usual style and won a couple of penalties that saved Manchester. United. Payback time (I hope)

3. Portsmouth - Arsenal:

Portsmouth will stay up, mainly because there are poorer teams in the premiership than them this season. They have been on the decline since Harry Rednap left and the appointment of Tony Adams didn’t help at all (did they look at his record at Wycombe?) , however Portsmouth proved in their midweek draw at Newcastle that they have too much for the teams below them. Next season I expect them to struggle. Last season Arsenal were very unlucky not to win the same fixture which ended 0-0. This Saturday I expect Arsenal to make up for that disappointment.

4. Liverpool - Newcastle:

Liverpool will win this game & win it easily. Liverpool have surprised me & a lot of other people this season, I did not expect them to even finish in the top four let alone be the main challenge Manchester united for the title. Last season I would have predicted Newcastle to get something out of this game, not now. Newcastle may have appointed Alan Shearer as manager but I think they will still go down, which is no reflection on Mr Shearer as he has taken over too late in the season to save them. It will be no surprise to me if Newcastle go down as they have had a succession of owners (men I suits with no conscience) who have done nothing but milk the club through their massive support. I still think Liverpool will not win the title but they will come close.
