Man Utd v AC Milan UEFA Champions League Football betting Preview - 24.04.07 Kick Off 19:45Milan The Bet In Manchester
A few weeks back it would have been difficult to make much of a case for AC Milan to come away from Old Trafford with anything other than a defeat, but the injury crisis that has hit Manchester United in recent weeks looks to have evened things up considerably.
Sir Alex Ferguson's team looks particularly vulnerable in defence and in terms of having sufficient options on the bench should they be required to help change the course of the 1st leg on Tuesday.
With Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville, Nemanja Vidic and Mikael Silvestre all missing from the defence and Patrice Evra likely to be fit enough only for a place on the bench, United have big problems at the back in front of the increasingly shaky Edwin van der Sar. Darren Fletcher could feature at right-back, while the always unbelievably over-rated Wes Brown is set to partner John O'Shea in central defence. The likes of Kaka and Alberto Gilardino will be a real handful for such a makeshift back-line.
AC Milan at 11-10 on the Asian Handicap at 0, +0.5 with BetFred looks a sound bet, providing a full win if the Italians win the game, while providing the safety net of winning half your stake multiplied by the price, with half your stake being returned should the match finish as a draw.
