Macclesfield v Accrington Stanley 16 Dec 15:0011-10 available with Totesport on the Macclesfield win
Bet Advised: Thursday 14th December 2006
Having had to wait until November 21 for their first victory of the campaign in any competition, Macclesfield certainly seem to have quickly got into the winning habit, with three more victories since. Two of those four victories this season have come in the FA Cup, earning them a glamorous 3rd round tie away to Chelsea.
That seems to have sparked them into life in the league too, with consecutive victories at home to Rochdale and away to Notts County bringing them to within reach of those above them in the League Two table in their quest to avoid relegation.
This weekend offers them a chance to maintain that recent good form, when Accrington Stanley are the visitors.
Accrington only came up from the Conference last season, but they are only just above the drop-zone themselves, with the defence looking particularly fragile and arguably their two best players - Gary Roberts and Ian Craney - both currently out on loan, to Ipswich Town and Swansea City respectively.
The 11-10 available with Totesport on the Macclesfield win looks reasonable value under the circumstances, with Paul Ince's men looking to be the team in form.
