Luton v Plymouth
Result: Luton 1 Plymouth 2Plymouth Can Push Luton To The Brink
It's been a dreadful few months for Luton Town, with a string of bad results (just one point from their last nine matches) seeing them plummet to the foot of the Championship table, the departure of manager Mike Newell and the subsequent resignation of chairman Bill Tomlins.
New manager Kevin Blackwell looks to have a near impossible task in keeping The Hatters clear of the drop, with seven points to make up in four games. His job is made even more difficult by the the lack of depth in his squad, a situation that has been made even more difficult by a string of absentees, with defenders Leon Barnett and Sol Davis both ruled out, Kevin Foley unlikely to feature and midfielder Ahmet Brkovic and striker Dean Morgan both set to miss the remainder of the season.
Although Plymouth Argyle have nothing left to play for this term, the problems in the Luton camp suggest that Ian Holloway's side could all but condemn them to the drop, especially with Luton having precious little in terms of an attacking threat these days.
BetFred offer 85-100 for Plymouth at 0, +0.5 on the Asian Handicap. It would require a Plymouth victory to secure a full winning bet, but it does ensure that you win half your stake multiplied by the price, with half your stake returned should the match finish all square.
