Coca-Cola Championship: Leeds v Sheff Wed k.o. 15.00

Result: Leeds 2:3 Sheff Wed FT

Signs Of Life In Lowly Leeds
This season has been an unmitigated disaster for Leeds, with the anticipated promotion campaign having long since given way to a battle for their Championship survival.

They go into Saturday's Yorkshire derby at home to Sheffield Wednesday at the foot of the table and without so much as a goal in four games.

Even so, there is some cause for optimism, with signs of improvement in the midweek 1:0 defeat at table-topping Birmingham City.

Although Dennis Wise is still missing important players througfh injury, the likes of Richard Cresswell (ex-Wednesday), David Healy and Robbie Blake possess enough quality to end the recent goal famine.

Wednesday are looking relatively safe in mid-table as things stand and although they are never going to simply roll over for Leeds, they might not be as up for this game as their rivals given the circumstances.

The 5-4 available with Ladbrokes for the home win looks a decent punt, although one where it is probably wise to keep stakes relatively small.
