Coca-Cola League One 2006/07:

Doncaster Should Come Strong Over Course Of Season

Bet Advised: Tuesday 28th November 2006

After a slow start to his reign as new manager of Doncaster Rovers, Sean O'Driscoll seems to have his team moving in the right direction again.

The South Yorkshire side are currently sitting in mid-table with 24-points from 19 games, but there are plenty of reasons to suggest that they should push on over the remainder of the campaign.

One major reason is that in the New Year they will be moving to their new 15,000 capacity Keepmoat Stadium, which should give them a lift.

O'Driscoll has also been bolstering his squad in recent weeks, with the loan signings of Neil sullivan and Brian Stock and a short-term contract for former manchester United and Middlesbrough midfielder Mark Wilson all going to bring greater quality to the squad.

The one area that really needs improving is the forward line, with a regular goalscorer being a necessity in the January transfer window if the club is to have any genuine hope of launching a late play-off push.

Sporting Index quotes the points spread for Doncaster at 63-65, which might be a tad on the low side given both the recent improvement and the ambition at the club, so looks worth a buy.
