Hartlepool United have had a tough time over the past year or so, falling away badly after just missing out on promotion to the Coca-Cola Championship in 2004-05.

Relegation was a major blow last term, resulting in an exodus
of some of their players over the summer, with striker Adam Boyd (a long-term injury absentee for much of last season) probably the most significant loss. New manager Danny Wilson has a decent enough squad at his disposal to keep The Monkey Hangers clear of the drop-zone this term, but with just two points from their opening five matches, it seems they are still suffering from a relegation hangover.

The points spread with Sporting Index is 61.5-63.5 which, given that confidence seems quite low, appears to be a little on the high side. A sell on the points looks to be the bet here, although it always has to be remebered that spread betting involves a high level of risk and is not for everyone*.
