French Fancies For Trip To Scotland
Sat 07th Oct 17:00 Scotland v France

France to win to nil (i.e. 1:0; 2:0; 3:0, etc) with
Paddy Power.

It's been an excellent start to Euro 2008 qualifying for Scotland, as coach Walter Smith continues to impress after replacing the hapless Berti Vogts.

However, they may struggle to maintain their fine form to date against a French side that should be full of confidence after following up their World Cup final appearance with the recent 3:1 revenge victory over Italy in their group game.

Scotland have long struggled for goals, so the absence of Kenny Miller sould be significant against what is generally a watertight French defence, even if Smith can still call upon the more than capable Kris Boyd.

At the other end, France can of course count on a certain Thierry Henry, in addition to a number of other quality strikers that should be capable of troubling a Scottish defence that could come under significant pressure.

The odds on the French win are not particularly ttractive, but the 7-5 available with Paddy Power on France to win to nil (i.e. 1:0; 2:0; 3:0, etc) looks worth a small punt.
