Forfar Athletic were on the wrong end of a 8:0 hammering away to Peterhead two weeks ago after the Scottish FA refused them permission to postpone the game, despite having been struck down with a catalogue of injuries.There is a possibilty that they might have a couple of players back for this weekend's trip to Stranraer, but the fact that they also had two players sent-off in that drubbing does offset that somewhat, as those two players (Darren Gribben and Alan Rattray) are now suspended as a consequence.
Several players were forced to play through the pain barrier at Peterhead, with a couple having to come off at half-time, while a number of them will face late fitness tests to see which of the walking wounded can be pressed into action.
Stranraer are only a mid-table outfit themselves, but their team news is far more positive, with two players returning from suspension and a couple of others hopeful of being passed fit after injury.
The price on a Stranrarer win is none too appealing, but the 4-5 available with Bet365 for Stranraer on the Asian Handicap at -1 is worth a look, paying out if the home team secure victory by two goals or more.
