Football bet Sheff Wed v Colchester

Championship: k.o. 13 Mar 19:45

Result: Sheff Wed 2 0 Colchester FT

Hillsborough Could See High Goal Count
Had anyone offered Sheffield Wednesday and Colchester United their current mid-table standings in the Championship at the start of the season, both clubs would gladly have accepted them.

Rather than battling against relegation, as had seemed more than likely for both teams, Sheffield Wednesday and Colchester go into the last couple of months of the season already more or less assured of their current status for next term and the temptation has to be that both sets of players are already contemplating their summer breaks as a consequence.

There are likely to be changes in both teams line-ups for Tuesday night's clash, with Wednesday boss Brian Laws having a number of injuries to contend with, while Colchester manager Geraint Williams is likely to make changes after a run of five matches without a win.

Both these teams are better going forward than they are defensively so, with something of an end of term feel to this match, this could be a fairly open game with a few goals in it. The 9-4 available with Paddy Power for 4 or more goals might be worth a small interest as a result.

Bet Advised: Tuesday 13th March 2007
