A recent dramatic loss of form looks as if it will probably cost Le Havre promotion from Ligue 2 in France, with successive defeats to Grenoble, Strasbourg and Gueugnon leaving them seven points shy of the top three.Failure to beat struggling Istres on Friday evening would surely be the final blow to their promotion aspirations but, with Istres being so poor on the road, it really shouldn't come to that. Istres has mustered just a single win and five points from 13 away matches this term and, perhaps even more tellingly, have scored just three goals in that time.
The visitors will probably attempt to sit back and soak up everything that Le Havre throw at them, so this might not be a game worth punting on the Asian Handicap. Even so, it's difficult to envisage Istres taking anything from this game, so the 6-10 available with William Hill on the home victory looks to be worth taking.
