Derby Back On Track For Promotion
After having established a lead at the top of the Championship, Derby County have suffered a case of the jitters in recent weeks with three straight defeats and have taken just a single point from the last 12.Friday night's opponents, Colchester United, have already all but secured their Championship status, which must realistically have been the limit of their ambitions for the season at the start of the campaign. Their success has been built around their superb home record, with their results away from Layer Road being those of relegation candidates. With little hope of making the play-offs themselves, Colchester might just take their foot off the gas over the remaining weeks of the season.
Derby have one or two injuries to contend with, but the quality is all with The Rams and, provided they don't let the occasion get the better of them, they really should be capable of securing the victory that would take them back to top spot and edge them closer to a return to the Premiership.
The 8-11 available with Coral for the Derby win looks a reasonable price.
