Football December Goal Of The Month
Essien Looks Value For Goal Of The Month
Bet Advised: Tuesday 12th December 2006
The BBC Match of the Day Goal of the Month looks to be a two-horse race as things stand, with Portsmouth's Matty Taylor up against Chelsea's Michael Essien for the award.Taylor's strike was certainly a special one, but Essien's came in a bigger game and at a more crucial stage in the match. It has also been replayed from every angle imaginable and seems to be ingrained in people's minds.
Taylor is a remarkably short 1-3 for the award with Paddy Power, who offer Essien at 7-2. Quite simply, that looks to be too big.
"i really think that Paul Scholes should win the goal of the month because he has done very well for the club at Manchester United and he did very well to score his goal against Aston Villa that was a remarkable goal and he will be brilliant that he will do very well in the premireship. And i hope we do win the premireship because i know we will have to play a lot harder and win our matches"
