Pardew Appointment Could Boost Charlton

Les Reed's run as Charlton Athletic manager came to an end on Christmas Eve, with his appointment as successor to Iain Dowie proving to be little short of an unmitigated disaster.Alan Pardew's brief spell of unemployment was brought to an end when he was immediately installed as Reed's successor and Wednesday's home match with Fulham is one that he will firmly believe can provide him with the proverbial flying start to his career at The Valley.
As a former Charlton player, Pardew should prove to be a popular appointment and there were even recent claims in the media that the players themselves were calling for him to replace the hapless Reed.
It seemed apparent that Reed had lost the support of the players, so a much improved performance should certainly be on the cards, especially with the crowd likely to be far more supportive than might have been under the old regime.
It's difficult to believe that Charlton will lose this game under the circumstances, especially with Fulham having conceded more away goals than any Premiership team other than Charlton themselves, but it might be best to cover the draw to a degree here.
10Bet offer Charlton at 27-25 on the Asian Handicap off 0, -0.5. That equates to a winning bet if Charlton secure all three points, but if the game is drawn, you lose half your stake, while half is returned.
