Cardiff v Hull League Championship Football betting Preview - 28.04.07 Kick Off 15:00Cardiff Unlikely To Do Leeds Any Favours
The battle to avoid relegation from the Championship looks to be almost down to a two-horse race between Leeds United and Hull City, with Luton Town already gone and Southend United looking set to join them.
The advantage is currently with Hull, who are a point better off going into the last two rounds of games and with an easier looking run-in.
The key game could be Saturday's trip to Cardiff City, with the Welsh side drifting badly after looking nailed on for the play-offs at least until a couple of months ago.
Their commitment against The Tigers has to be questioned too, with star striker Michael Chopra suspended and with there being little love lost between Cardiff and Leeds.
Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale was, of course, famously once chairman of Leeds before everything went pear-shaped. Ironically, the 2:1 FA Cup win for Cardiff in January 2002 is often pointed to as the result that proved to be the turning point in the subsequent decline of the Yorkshire club.
Current Leeds chairman Ken Bates banned Ridsdale from Elland Road earlier this season, so there is a grudge match there too.
The bet looks to be Hull 0, +0.5 on the Asian Handicap at 83-100 with Canbet. That would ensure a winning bet if Hull secure victory, while you would still win half your stake multiplied by the price, with half your stake returned should it finish as a draw.
