Boca Worth Backing In Buenos Aires Superclasico
Boca Juniors v River Plate is up there with the fiercest rivalries in world football and any clash between the two is always eagerly anticipated.
This Sunday sees Boca play host to River Plate in La Bombonera for a game in which there will be no visiting fans as a result of security measures. That looks like being one definite advantage for the home team, but there are others.
For starters, Boca have started the season more impressively than their arch-rivals. Boca currently top the table withh 22-points from nine matches, while River Plate languish (by their standards) down in fifth spot with 16-points, albeit with a game in hand.
The Boca Juniors squad also looks the more impressive, featuring the likes of Juan Riquelme, Martin Palermo (who has been in fairly prolific form this term), Bruno Marioni and Rodrigo Palacio. Although there are some talented youngsters in the River Plate ranks, they lack the quality of their opponents, with the veteran Ariel Ortega probably being the most familiar name.
Taking everything into account, the 21-20 available with Expekt on the Boca Juniors win looks like a reasonable price.
